Bosomtwe Rural Bank was established in an answer to appeals made to help alleviate the suffering of the farmers of Kuntanase and its surrounding villages at the time when they had to travel long distances of over 48 kilometers virtually on foot to cash their Akuafo cheques at the Ghana Commercial Bank at Bekwai. Incorporated in 1981 the Bank commenced business in December 1982. The Bank has since that time achieved unprecedented growth over the years.
