The company grew out of a family business, Kalmoni and Son, Started in the 1920’s as a family motor vehicle spare part and transport business trucking cocoa beans from the hinterland to the coast. In 1958 S. kalmoni and son imported the first Japanese car (Datsun now Nissan) onto the Ghanaian market. The company became a full servicing limited liability company in 1965 and assumed the Japan Motors Trading company Limited. Since then it has established three more branches in Tema, Tamale and Kumasi. It also has a division know as Pro Tech which deals in IT and Office equipment.
