Vanguard Assurance Company Limited was incorporated on May 3, 1974 and started operations in October of the same year as a composite insurance company. The company has the enviable record of being the first private indigenous insurance company in Ghana. At inception, Vanguard offered only two classes of business, Life and Fire. Over the years, the company diversified its product portfolio and presently is a one-stop composite insurance company underwriting all the major classes of Life and Non Life insurance. Through prudent and efficient management, Vanguard has grown from strength to strength and for several successive years has been ranked among the top four insurance companies in Ghana.
